Jr. US Open in Kansas

This past weekend The Wilson Bros. reunited at Mystic Lakes in Maize, Kansas for the Jr. US Open. The tournament kicked off with a big barbeque on Friday night after the skiers meeting, it was great to catch up with friends and prepare for the next morning. The weekend competition began with some awesome skiing! The competition was great, Erika Lang broke the Jr. Girls trick record with a score of 8990, K.C. scored 1@41 breaking the Jr. Boys Slalom record that he had currently held. A bunch of personal bests went down making for an awesome weekend. The Wilson Bros. were able to continue their winning streak at the Jr. Open by taking wins for the third straight year in their respective slalom events. Brooks is continuing his travel across the country, leaving Kansas and stopping in Charleston for a few weeks. He'll be at the Seth Stisher's Training Center in Charleston and K.C. returned to Orlando to train and do some local coaching. To book sets with either of the Wilson Bros. or schedule a clinic at your lake email coach@thewilsonbros.com. Keep shredding and checking out the site!

Good Times in Texas!

So the 2010 Jr. US Open ended today and it was a great time! The people at Princeton Lakes really did a great job with the tournament and made it a blast for everybody! The Wilson Bros. got to start off the morning rocking the mics and did some announcing for the jump event! It was a blast and hopefully they will let us announce sometime in the future again! Miss Texas made her appearance today and she was pretty awesome! She handed out all the awards, talked to everyone and seemed to really like the skiing, it was neat! Two of our Uncles live just outside Dallas and they came out to support us and it was great to have them come out and see us ski! K.C. and I both defended our slalom titles and we were both really pumped about that! There were a lot of great skiers here this weekend! Makayla Haw took the Girls Overall and Slalom titles, Lauren Morgan took the Girls Jump title and Nicole Nassar brought home the Gold in Girls Trick. For the Jr. Women Michaela Cooper got the gold in slalom, Michale Briant won Tricks and Maddie McCammon won Jump and Overall. In the boys event, it was K.C. in the Slalom, Chris Wharton in Jump and Josh Briant in Tricks and Overall. For Jr. Men, Brooks won Slalom and Storm Selsor made it rain gold medals with Golds in Trick, Jump and Overall. Thanks to everyone who came to the event and especially those who put it on! Pics will be up soon! Complete results at http://www.usawaterski.org/pages/divisions/3event/10C079CS.HTM

Jr. US Open in TEXAS!

Well we made it here to Texas and it's a beautiful site! They have four perfect lakes and an overall great set up. We got to the site about 4 o'clock and went over to check out the slalom lake. After that we had a skier meeting where we went over all the rules and order of events for Saturday and Sunday. We then had a barbecue with tons of awesome food and a rocking band playins us some jams! We had a great time catching up with all our friends, we launched some water balloons and just hung out! We will update with some scores Saturday night!

Off to Texas!

So we are off on the road again, this time to Dallas, Texas for the Jr. US Open. We fly out in the morning and we're both pretty pumped on the trip. The organizers this year have seemed to really stepped it up and are going to put on a great tournament. They have a bunch of fun stuff lined up for the skiers including events each night. We are both pretty excited that they set it up to have Miss Texas give out the medals at the awards ceremony! Stayed tuned for updates throughout the weekend!
