Travels

I just finished up my first week of class after being on the road for almost the entire month leading up to it. After our Southern Regional Championships my buddy Jason and I got on the road and headed to Charleston, SC where I was going to hang out and train for a few days before heading up to the Malibu Open up in Milwaukee. The Malibu Open was truly the tournament of the year with big crowds and fun fans, it will only grow in the coming years and is a tournament everyone should try to get to. From Milwaukee I headed to Illinois for the US Nationals and also to hang out with my good friend Meg who lives just outside Chicago. On my first day there we went downtown and rode a tandem bike all throughout the city, it was a blast and a great way to see the awesome city of Chicago. The rest of the week I was hanging at the Nationals site talking to people and watching some awesome skiing. K.C. and I met up at Nationals after he had just ripped it in Italy and he kept up the awesome skiing, winning the Nationals as well. From Nationals, I went to Jackson, Michigan and coached a few days for some folks in the area and it was a great time. I then headed to the Indy Ski Klub for a day and then back up to St. Charles, Michigan for a few days of skiing at my friend Jason's. Overall, the time on the road was a blast! I'm now home for a while and getting back into school mode which is tough to do. K.C. and I shot some fun video stuff for the blog today so look for that up shortly. Check the pics below for some of the action from the road.
